Matt Murray has been recognized by Mobile

Eddie's Last Ride
Lowrider fans and wrestling fans alike grieved the
passing of WWE wrestling icon, Eddie Guerrero.
Guerrero competed in his final televised match on the
Nov. 11 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.  Audio
Source had a bittersweet connection to Eddie's last
fight.  He cruised in style, his Lowrider style, in Matt
Murray's 1964 Pimpala.  The Pimpala will forever
remembered in history as "Eddie's Last Ride."

Being part of history is something
that will go on until the end of time.
Matt Murray, President of UCE
Indianapolis will go down in history of
having his 1964 Chevy Impala
Convertible "Pimpala" as the last
lowrider used by the late WWE
wrestler Eddie Guerrero before his
untimely demise.  Forever, his ragtop
will be etched in the minds of people
all over the world as the last lowrider
Eddie entered the ring with.
                         That was just one
of many memories Matt shared with
me since he has been in the game
for over 10 years.  His first memory
was that of riding in a friend's Nissan
with switches in it.  It hooked him
and reeled him into the lowrider
scene in the mid-nineties.  Shortly
there after, Matt built his first lowrider
which was an '85 Mustang.  He held
on to the Mustang for four about four
years, and then sold it to buy his '64
Impala Convertible for a mere
$8,500.
One of the first items on the
restoration process was to install a
new crate engine which Matt did
himself.  During this stage, he added
on an abudance of chrome parts to
enhance the beauty of the engine
compartment.  David Lane took care
of the custom paint job using
products from Dupont and laying a
fine Spectramaster Blue throughout
the body of the convertible.  The
white interior followed its original
pattern to five a clean look.  Matt's
hydraulics was sponsored by Jason
"Blinky" Grimes of Low-N-Broke.
Installed was an all chrome Superfly
four-pump system that is ready to
perform with a hit of the switch.
The custom stereo work was performed
by the family business, Audio Source,
where Matt is the manager.  He directed
the crew to spare no details in the
installation process.  Manny from Scoche
Products stepped up to the plate and
sponsored the audio and visual products
for this convertible adding a classy
touch.
Matt's convertible has been featured at
many Midwest shows such as the Cool
Cars Southern Showdown and the
Flamology show.  Since his region of the
country has limited lowriding months to
cruise, Matt enjoys being out with the
other UCE memebers as much as
possible to keep the spirit alive in
Indianapolis.  One of his most
memorable moments was when his
chapter, along with most of the Midwest
chpaters, were at a lowrider event in
Chicago, and he was part of a 30 car
line-up cruising downtown Chicago.
When they pulled over to park, swarms
of people surrounded their cars wanting
to get a glimpse at their art on four
wheels.          Even though he is really
busy with his car club and business, Matt
can be found with his wife and newborn
daughter Maecy at his lovely Seymour
home.  He wants to thank his UCE
members for their support, his father
Mark Murray, Manny from Scosche
Products and all the UCE chapters that
have inspired him to keep the lowriding
dream alive.
